Store Description

From this screen, you can enter a brief (approximately 255 characters maximum) description of your website, your company, your products, and any other information that is pertinent to your business.  This is the description of your website that will be seen by people searching for your web site from a traditional search engine, or through your provider's Portal site.

Title of Site

The upper box is used to enter the title of your website as it will be displayed in the title bar of an internet browser.  This title will also be displayed on search engines, such as Google™.

Description of Site

The center box is used to enter the text that most search engines display when they find your website.  There is no limit to the amount of text that may be entered here.  Search engines will only display the first two lines (about 255 characters).  However, all of the text that you enter in this box will be used by the search engines when your website is indexed.

This information will not be visible to visitors to your website; however it will be seen by search engines.  Without this information, many search engines will not be able to index your website.

When you have finished typing your store's description, click the "Ok" button to accept the description and close the window.  

Clicking the "Cancel" button, closes the window without saving your text.

Keywords

The lower box may be used to manually enter the "Meta tags" that are used by some search engines. Separate each keyword or keyword phrase with commas.   If you check the box "Let Y.E.S.!™ select keywords for META tag on the Index.html page", the Y.E.S.!™ software will automatically build a listing of keywords based upon the names of your products. (By default, this box is checked).   NOTE: Keywords are no longer used by most major search engines.
