Setting up a single Tax Agency for Sales Tax Payable

NOTE: If you have report to more than one Tax agency, skip these steps and go to Setting up more than one Tax Agency.

Default Tax Agency Setup

To setup as the Default only one Tax Agency for the total of all Sales Tax Payable, follow these steps:  

1. Find the "Y.E.S!™  Sales Tax" in the Item List

2. The default Tax Agency as shown in the first screen below is "Y.E.S!™ Tax Vendor"

3. Change the "Y.E.S!™  Tax Vendor" Agency to the correct Tax Agency as shown in the second screen below.
 

4. After selecting the correct Tax Agency click the "OK" button and all sales tax will be directed to the selected Agency.
 


• Warning: Never change the Sales Tax Item Name!  Doing so will creating a new Sales Tax Item and during the next Y.E.S!™ Accounting Interface, the "Y.E.S!™  Sales Tax" Item Name will be created again!   This new "Y.E.S!™  Sales Tax" Item Name will be used by the system to report Sales Tax.
