Setting up more than
one Tax Agency for Sales Tax Payable
Under the QuickBooksÒ Banking
menu, enter
a General Journal Entry which
Debits the Y.E.S.!™ Tax
Vendor and Credits the other Tax
Agencies as shown in the Journal Entry shown above. Then pay the Tax Agencies
just as you paid them in the past (prior to using the Y.E.S.!™ Tax Rules
).
NOTE:
First, you must understand the Y.E.S.!™ Tax Rules
and how they operate (see Y.E.S.!™ Software Suite
Help). After
setting up all of your Items and Products Sales Tax in Y.E.S.!™, you
can then process sales through your Point of Sale or e-Commerce site.
Each Sales Tax reporting period, run a Sale
Tax Report in the Y.E.S.!™ Software
Suite, which will enable you to transfer the correct amount of Tax liability
to each tax collecting Agencies.
