Secure Site Setup

The Secure Site Setup screen is used to enable your web site's ability to accept secure credit card transactions and website currency.

Y.E.S.!™ is pre-configured to work with the secure, real-time credit card services of our Partners to provide a safe way for your Customers to purchase your products online using credit cards and/or checks.  However, before you can use the secure site features built into the program, you must have an account established with one of our Partners. You may apply for a Secure Site account from within the Y.E.S.!™ program by clicking on the "Apply for a Secure Site Account" button on the bottom of the Secure Site Setup screen.  For further information, please contact our website.

Once you have established a secure site account, simply enter the required information into the Secure Site Setup screen fields and select the service that you have signed up with.  You are ready to accept credit card payment with encryption and verification over the Internet.  When a sale is made you will receive an email with the details of the sale.

When you first enter Secure Site Setup, you will be presented with the following screen:

Check Local Settings - This button is informational only.  If will not make any changes to your operating system.  Clicking on this button gives you a quick way of reviewing the regional settings currently used by Microsoft Windows on your computer.  These settings will control the way that your computer and Y.E.S.!™ interpret such things are dates, times, currencies and number formatting. Y.E.S.!™ will utilize the currency that is based on your Regional Settings.

Allow non-secured purchases (via Email) - A "non-secured purchase" is a Purchase Order.  In a Purchase Order, no credit card or other method of payment information is given.  Only the intention to buy with the Customer's name, address and contact information are disclosed.   This is the normal method of making purchases used by businesses and individuals with established accounts. Details of the actual monetary transaction between the Customer and the Merchant will be conducted  by other means, such as mail, messenger or delivery person, personal visit or telephone.   If you check the Allow non-secured purchases (via Email), your customers may still submit purchase orders to you via unsecured email. This is the process used if you do not have a Secure Site account, and you will be able to invoice the customer for the appropriate amount.

Select Business Currency (Web Site Currency) - This box is used to select the currency that will be used on your website.

The currency symbol, as indicated by the Red Arrows above, should normally be set to match.  In the example shown above, the Regional setting was Germany (Austria), Euro currency.  We therefore selected "Euro" from the "Select Business Currency" drop down box.

Frequently ask questions regarding credit card transactions:

Q. How are credit card transactions done with different currencies?  For Example, I am in the USA and someone in Europe buys something off of my website. Where and when does the money get changed into US dollars?

A 1. If you are utilizing the iTransact secure payment gateway: The great thing about this service is that it allows you to take credit card transactions from anywhere and at anytime.  If your customers are using major credit cards (i.e., VISA, MASTERCARD) to purchase on your site, you would charge them in US dollars and the credit card processing system would automatically deduct from their account the proper equivalent and then deposit that in your account. The conversion is completed by your credit card processing network.

A 2. If you are utilizing the  Plug'n Paysecure payment gateway: The foreign currency to US dollar conversion is done via the credit card issuer upon settlement of the transaction.  Merchants charge the US dollar amount for all orders & products. Both foreign & US customers make purchases as usual.  The total for the transaction will be made in US dollars.  When the transaction is settled, the merchant received the US dollar amount for the order in their bank account. The foreign customer sees the equivalent amount of the transaction total in their type of currency on their credit card statement. The credit card issuer does the foreign amount conversion from the customer's type from currency to US dollars in order to correctly settle the transaction. The exchange rate use din the conversion, is the exchange rate for that type of currency for that day to US dollars.

Q. Can a person anywhere in the world have a website and use iTransact's credit card services?

A. They can, but they would have to establish a compatible US based merchant account.  Any Merchant Account that utilizes one of the following processing networks is compatible:

If your processing network is not listed here, please contact your merchant account provider and request to be moved to one of the supported processing networks.  You may need to print this list of supported processing networks for their use.

Q. I am not in the US and I cannot obtain a US based merchant account.  How then can I have a secure transaction account?

A. By utilizing  Plug'n Pays international service called SureFire, you will still be able to have secure transactions from your website.  SureFire acts as a Merchant Account.  Therefore, you do not need a Merchant Account from your own bank.  Sales made from your website through Plug 'N Pay will go to SureFire, who will then directly deposit the funds into your designated bank via electronic fund transfer (EFT).  There is no charge for EFT.  The SureFire service will automatically deduct its' processing fees from each transaction.  Through SureFire you will be able to accept all major world currencies.  After paying a low setup fee of £99, with SureFire there are no up front deposits, no monthly fees, and no minimum monthly volumes to maintain.  SureFire is a separate service from  Plug'n Pay and must be purchased separately.
